Prologue

Why Should Navigation Just Be… Navigation?

Every day, millions of people use navigation apps to get from point A to B. It’s routine—open the app, follow the route, reach your destination. But what if your daily drives actually gave you something in return?

That’s where Myls comes in. A simple idea: Turn every mile you travel into real rewards. Whether it’s your daily commute or a weekend road trip, Myls makes sure your journeys don’t just take you places—they give you something back.

That’s where Myls comes in. A simple idea: Turn every mile you travel into real rewards. Whether it’s your daily commute or a weekend road trip, Myls makes sure your journeys don’t just take you places—they give you something back.

The Problem

Gamification is a gimmick!

Competitor analysis showed that while some apps attempted to reward users, their user experience was clunky, and the rewards felt random and unappealing. Users didn’t feel motivated to engage long-term because the incentives didn’t match their needs.

We saw an opportunity: What if simply using navigation could turn into real, meaningful rewards?

The Vision

Gamify Navigation Without Making It Gimmicky

We wanted to build a navigation app that felt rewarding, engaging, and intuitive—without forcing unnecessary complexity. The goal was simple:

Make earning rewards seamless—no extra steps, just drive and earn.

Let users choose their rewards—no random coupons, only offers they actually want.

Keep the app fun and engaging—without making it feel like a game that users would lose interest in.

With Myls, we designed a cheerful, gamified app where every mile traveled earns points (Myls) that can be redeemed for restaurant discounts, retail offers, and more.

Initial Concept

We started with a bright, playful purple and literal coin icons to emphasize vibrancy and gamification.

Refining the Approach

While visually striking, the initial design felt overly loud, so we shifted toward a more subtle yet meaningful direction.

Final Decision

We drew inspiration from topography patterns for a unique identity and chose green as the brand color, symbolizing progress and movement.

The Solution

A Fun, Rewarding Navigation Experience

We built Myls as a lightweight, engaging app that integrates rewards directly into everyday travel. The more users drive, the more Myls they collect—without disrupting their experience.

Key Features That Set Myls Apart:

Playful & Gamified UI

Users can save frequent destinations for quick access, reducing friction in daily use.
